(QC) The Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted its three nominees for the District 4 Supreme Court justice position to Gov. Kevin Stitt.

The nominees are:

• District Judge Donna Lynn Dirickson;
• Travis Verl Jett; and
• District Judge Jon Keith Parsley.

Fourteen candidates applied for the position. The last interviews were held Tuesday, according to the commission.

Dirickson is a district judge for Beckham, Custer, Ellis, Roger Mills and Washita counties. She was appointed to the position by Stitt in 2024.

Jett is an attorney with the Hodgden Law Firm in Woodward. According to his website, Jett has represented the Oklahoma Tax Commission, Corporation Commission, Ethics Commission, Department of Health, the State Department of Education and the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs in litigation.

Parsley was appointed a district judge for Texas, Cimarron, Beaver and Harper counties in 2014 by then-Gov. Mary Fallin.

Stitt has 60 days to appoint one of the nominees to the post. If he does not do so, Chief Justic Dustin Rowe will make the appointment, according to the Oklahoma Constitution.

The appointee will succeed former Justice Yvone Kauger, who resigned in December after losing her retention election in November’s general election.
